Gulmarg
A Himalayan bowl with some of the deepest, driest snow anywhere and lift tickets that cost less than a city lunch.
Terrain
An enormous open bowl above the treeline served by a two-stage gondola, plus lower tree runs through the pines. Off-piste is the whole point and much of it is unpatrolled, while the lower slopes suit beginners. Avalanche risk is real and there is no safety net.
